A third world child pursuits the dream of freedom but becomes a victim of exploitation.
Effie Pappa was born in 1986 and grew up in Igoumenitsa, a small town in the western part of Greece. It was there that she took her firsts classes in painting, theatre, dance and music. From 1999 to 2002, she received awards in pan-Hellenic school competitions of art, as well as awards as member of the theatrical group of Igoumenitsa. In 2005 she was accepted at the department of Graphic Design in Applied Arts and Design in Athens (Technological Educational Institute of Athens), where she studied classical animation. Her first short animated film, “Thaumatrope,” has been screened in various festivals, including the Athens Digital Week 2008. To 2008, she collaborated with the Play Studios company, where she worked in animation. Since 2007 she works as an illustrator, graphic designer, animator and she is co-founder of the creative team “geometry.”
