Masoud Karamati
Born in 1956 in Tehran, Masoud Karamati is a graduate of Theatre from the College of Fine Arts. Collaborating with IRIB in various capacities (including puppeteer in hit TV series, “School of the mice”), Karamati began his film career as assistant director in “City of the mice” in 1985. In 1989, he not only started his acting career in Rassul Mollagholipour’s “Majnun”, but also directed his debut feature, “Patal and small wishes”. Then he made “Wild duck”, four documentaries from the series, “Children of Iran”, and some short films entitled “Phone”. He also appeared in Mollagholipour’s “The refugee” (1992) and “Journey to Chazzabeh” (1995). An established director of children’s film, Karamati gained international recognition with his “Day of the result” which was awarded in Isfahan Children Film Festival and Hyderabad Golden Elephant Film Festival.
