She is the Programme Director for the MA Digital Literacies, Culture and Education in the School of Education, at the University of Sheffield. Becky’s research focuses on digital literacies, children’s film and film education. Her recent research examines the potential of immersive technologies to offer new narrative experiences with children. Becky is a Board Member for ECFA, the European Children’s Film Association, the international professional body for the children’s film industry. Prior to her academic career Becky was the director of a children’s film festival and a film and media educator. Becky continues to enjoy collaborating with creative and cultural organisations and is currently working with The National Videogame Museum in Sheffield to develop their education programme.
