Born in France in 1969, Elise Jalladeau is the General Director of the Thessaloniki Film Festival, Greek cultural organization that includes Thessaloniki’s International Film and Documentary Festivals, 4 cinema screens operated throughout the year and the Cinema Museum(collections, library, film literacy, cinematheque). Before her appointment in 2016, she served as Audiovisual Attachée at the French Institute in Greece and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Greek Film Center. She founded and headed the Ateliers Produire au Sud for 10 years. She has been group leader for EAVE “Ties that Bind” between 2010 until 2017. Between 1992 and 2010 she worked as a producer, launching the careers of a new generation of international directors, including Martin Rejtman, Ildiko Enyedi, Jia Zhang Ke, Darejan Omirbaev, Jérôme Bonnell, Petr Vaclav, Rodrigo Moreno, Jose Luis Torres Leiva and Alejandro Fernandez.
