Rinio Dragasaki

Born in Athens, Greece, in 1980. She studied film in Athens and she got an MA in documentary & society at the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC). Since then she has worked in the film, television and advertising industry. She has written & directed short & feature films and documentaries. Her shorts have been accepted in numerous International Film Festivals (Berlinale, Fantastic Fest, Sitges, Clermont-Ferrand, Sao Paulo etc.). In 2014, she was nominated for the Crystal Bear with her short film “Schoolyard” and in 2012 her film “Dad, Lenin and Freddy” won the best short film Award from the Hellenic Film Academy. Cosmic Candy, her first feature film, was selected to participate to the Sundance If Instabul Screenwriter’s Lab. The film had it’s World Premier in Fantastic Fest, at Texas, the best genre Festival in the USA and she won the best newcomer director Award in Thessaloniki Film Festival and at IRIS (Hellenic Film Academy Awards). In 2019 she was selected to participate in Torino Film Lab with her next feature project “Panhellenic”.
