Dr Lena Benisi, Head of Cultural Affairs of the First Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens
Duration: 2 meetings, 2 hours each
Goal of this workshop is to utilise these two different forms of art – cinema and poetry – in order to help participants understand the significance of intersectionality as an innovation in education, both in terms of content, as well as of the working method. This workshop aims to emphasise how knowledge should be treated as an indivisible whole, and not in a fragmented manner. Inspired by the works of Lefteris Xanthopoulos, it urges participants to understand the ways in which cinema can “communicate” with other art forms – in this case, poetry – and, subsequently, with life itself.
