    The Girls are not Brides’ is a documentary film on early child marriage. Child marriage is a strong social custom in Bangladesh, where girls are regarded as an economic burden and are expected to marry very young. So, for millions of girls in Bangladesh, marriage comes so soon and the damage follows them throughout their lives. This film‘ is not only focusing on the negative situation facing of girls; the main intention has been given on four different successes stories of some girls, those who have stood up against child marriage and ultimately succeeded and established themselves in the society .

    KM Taj-Biul Hasan

    He was born on April 06 1965 at Dhaka ,Bangladesh. By profession; he is an Educational Film & Television Program specialist and Cinematographer. He obtained his B.Sc. (Hon’s) in Zoology and M.Sc. degree on Fisheries from The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has two scientific research papers on indigenous fish farming. Due to lot of fascination on Audio-visual media, he adopted himself with this media profession in 1991 after completing his formal schooling. He joined Govt. Service in 1994 as an Educational Program Producer of Bangladesh Open University until his self-retirement from this organization in 2011. He mainly works on Environment, Climate change , Human Rights ,History related issues. So far produced; 150 Educational Television Programs, 03 fictions and 28 documentaries till October 2017. He completed professional certificate courses from BBC (Cambridge), BFDC (Dhaka),CENDIT (New Delhi), CEMCA (New Delhi), DUPS (Dhaka) ,Deutsch Welle Television Training Centre (Berlin), NIMC (Dhaka), STOU (Bangkok) and NHK (Tokyo) on Photography,Film-making ,Television Program Production. Besides, film-making; he is also a researcher and so far presented papers & coordinated workshops in the 30 International audio-visual media related events around the world till December 2017 and has publications in the reputed international media journals. A good number of his productions received awards and appreciations as well as screened in the prominent film festivals and TV channels all over the world. Apart from these ; Mr. Hasan also created a historic record by winning three times, the most prestigious "UNESCO Japan Prize” award for his three educational films. He also conducts classes on Film and Television program related subjects . He visited many countries of Asia, Europe and Africa for his professional reason. Mr. Hasan is specialized on Research, Script development, Direction, Photography and Cinematography.
