Mr. Babis is a teacher who enjoys exploring the city with his students. With a cart full of books, they browse the neighborhood of Exarcheia. Children learn to read the city like a fairy tale and discover the real people behind the fairy tales. The world of dreams unites with the real world in a journey. The fairy tales’ heroes are revealed as real people of the neighborhood, the park and the supermarket replace the classroom and the streets become a canvas to paint them. Public spaces open to the children and reflect their magical and colorful dimension.
Sofia Lioulia
She is a teacher. She has studied Political Science, Sociology, and Language Education for Refugees and Migrants. She works in schools with groups of children from refugee and migrant backgrounds. "Dreams on wheels" is her first documentary based on a participant observatory that took place in a public primary school.
