Somewhere in the North… A film about the friendship between an Inuit child and an old fisherman. The story is inspired by Hemingway’s "The Old Man and the Sea".

Andrey Koulev

He is a film director, artist, screenwriter and producer, born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Graduated from the National Academy of Theatre and Film Arts with a M.A. in film directing. Since 1996 he has created several animated documentary and short feature films selected and awarded in many international and national festivals. Member of Union of Bulgarian Fine Artists and the Union of Bulgarian Film Makers. In 2016 he was a guest professor in animation at JAI University in Changchun, China. Since 2011 he is an art director of the World Festival of Animated Film, Varna.
