A young Burmese woman who was trafficked to China and sold into marriage tells her story. An animated film that portrays a woman torn between her love for the child she was forced to bear and her longing for the country to which she may never be able to return.
Hsu Pan Naing
She was born in 1997 in Yangon and as a daughter of a writer she fell in love with storytelling. After her journalism degree, she worked as a video journalist for The Myanmar Times. In 2020, she pursued her passion for filmmaking at Yangon Film School. Her animation debut was Reborn in 2021 . Currently, she interns at a developmental organization, developing her short drama Lost Girl with Myanmar Script Fund's support.
