Emine (10) and Eda Nur (11) are best friends and live in a small town in North East Turkey. The girls navigate the challenges of jealousy and competition while preparing for their first Turkish bagpipe concert. Against the backdrop of an earthquake, they learn to appreciate each other's unique strengths and the power of true friendship.
Marianne Hougen-Moraga
Her films have been screened widely and won awards on festivals around the world. In 2020 she premiered her first feature length documentary , Songs of Repression, which won the main award at CPH:DOX and The Politiken:Dox Award. Since then, the film has won several prizes at international festivals. She has also worked as a teacher and visiting lecturer at -among other places- University of Westminster, International Centre of Photography in New York and London Film School. She did her MA studies in non-fiction film at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Additionally, she holds an MA in media science from University of Copenhagen.
