A Trip Around Europe, an experiential journey through the special effects of cinema

It’s an activity where children come into contact with the special effects of cinema from a key role, as they actively participate in the creation of a five-minute short film. In a specially designed studio equipped with cameras, lights, motion sensors, and a special background for creating special effects (greenscreen), the children are "transported" in real time to different environments, with computers that use sophisticated software, and experience the magic of the cinema effects, gaining a unique and unforgettable experience!

This is an innovative workshop that was the result of research and collaboration of the European Network of Children's Film Festivals, coordinated by the Olympia Festival. Cinekid (Netherlands), JEF (Belgium), Young Horizons International Film Festival (Poland), International Film Festival For Children And Young Audience Schlingel (Germany), Zlín Film Festival International Film Festival for Children and Youth (Czech Republic), Cinemira (Hungary) are also participating in the network.

The Network was funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA programme.
