Crazy Animals- Imaginary wooden characters

Children connect pieces of wood together to create imaginary creatures. 

They use age-appropriate tools: a woodcutting saw, vise and clamps for fixing the wooden pieces, a drill, a hammer/screwdriver - wood glue and wooden crates for assembly. We will work on 4 tables; each table will have 4 workstations and a set of tools that the children share with the instructor's guidance. 

The two workshops are held in cooperation with the Kavilia Cooperative, founded in Syros in January 2020.The purpose of the cooperative is, on the one hand, the implementation of local collective actions aimed at the protection and improvement of the natural and residential environment; on the other hand, the organization of educational activities for children and young people, always in the context of synergy with productive, artistic and social initiatives that promote solidarity, economic democracy, social, moral and environmental responsibility and, in general, the promotion of social, ethical and environmental responsibility.
