Zaid, a 15-year-old, lives near Kabul with his mother and sister. Balancing school, friends, and hobbies, he appears to be thriving in a city in ruins after the war. However, when his mother tells him it’s time to get married, his ambitions crumble, and the heavy secret of his freedom must come to an end.
Lea-Jade Horlier
She was born in France and grew up abroad in Africa and South America. After years of working as a camera operator and assistant director in the film industry with renowned directors such as Abdellatif Kechiche, Maïwenn, and Nicolas Bedos, she decided to pursue directing. Her first short film, Matapangwas selected for the Clermont-Ferrand festival. Na marei, the invisible is her second short film.
