Writing with images and drawing with words

The programme is implemented by the team of "Paper Heroes" publications and art festival, which are under the responsibility of Aenon SCE. It is coordinated by the visual artist Nikos Toumazatos in collaboration with Iro Riga.
A workshop that invites participants to explore the world of comics and create their own story. The aim is to develop organisational, design and storytelling skills, understanding the structure and techniques of storytelling.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of the history of comics and their various genres.
Understanding the basic principles of storytelling and the structure of a comic.
Understanding the use of symbols, sketching, and text to create effective pieces.

Skills:
Skills in sketching and illustration, including perspective, proportion, and movement.
Skills in using technical tools, such as pencil, ink, digital design, etc
Skills in scriptwriting and dialogue creation.

Attitudes:
Imagination and creativity for generating new and original ideas.
Dedication to the art and a willingness for continuous improvement.
Teamwork and the ability to collaborate on group projects, as comics are often created by teams (writers, artists, digital editors, etc.).
Open-mindedness to receive feedback and criticism for improving the creator's work.

These knowledge, skills, and attitudes are essential qualities for a good comic artist and are necessary for creating engaging and high-quality work.
