The Adventure of Cinema in Small Schools!

Mobile exhibition of precinematic visual toys:

The exhibition is based on the chronological axis of cinematic evolution. 

1st Period | Pre-Cinema Era (1600-1892)

2nd Period | The Pioneers of Cinema (1895-1905)

3rd Period | Silent Cinema (1910-1927)

4th Period with Sound & Color 

PART A

During the first part of the workshop, pre-cinematic optical toys that will be featured in the exhibition will be presented Toupie Fantoche | Spinning Top, Anamorphoscope, Thaumatrope, Stereoscope, Praxinoscope, Zoetrope, Phenakistiscope, Flipbook). Naturally, the exhibition will also include other exhibits and artifacts, such as old cameras for shooting and projection, films, reels, beta, VHS, spy cameras, 3D glasses, toys, pop-up books, and many other surprises.

PART B OF THE PROGRAM

During the second part of the program, indicative interactive film screenings will take place. Iconic scenes from short films by the pioneers of cinema will be shown, followed by designed questions and observation and knowledge games, with the aim of engaging with the students and addressing their questions.

PART C OF THE PROGRAM

The third part of the program will conclude with experiential workshops and activities.Specifically, the children will create their own Flipbook and Thaumatrope, as well as a Cinema History Puzzle, where the children will assemble iconic images from world cinema from puzzle pieces.

Intended for groups of children aged 6-12 years (all primary school grades).
Maximum number of participants: 20 people.
