Cinema & the Internet – Hybrid forms of cinematic writing in the age of social media.

A five-day workshop in which participants will acquire a basic knowledge of cinema and documentary filmmaking, watch samples of fiction and documentary films that make use of the technique and aesthetics of digital media and social networks of all kinds, they will be invited to freely discuss the role that digital technology and social media play in their lives, and the ways in which all of the above intertwine, interact and generate new expressive possibilities for the next generation.

Based on the above, they will be guided in creating a hybrid documentary short film, with the character, the theme and the aesthetic approach being judged precisely by their direct interests and experiences of online language and reality, thus making extensive use of the technical and expressive possibilities it provides

So, are you ready to record the present in such a way that you shape the future?

Where and when?

The workshop will take place in Amaliada from December 2 to 6, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 14:00
