From the figure to the puppet and from there to stop motion animation!
In the twenty years of its existence in the Olympia Festival, the ZizAnimation workshop has brought the students of Pyrgos in contact with all kinds of animation: stop motion, 2d animation, clay stop motion, paper-cut stop motion.
In an effort to innovate, it constantly presents something new, from the raspberry pi and the animation box, to robotic cameras specially made for stop motion.
Continuing in that spirit, in the 27th Festival Edition we will be working on figurines (armatures) and how they turn into dolls, specially made for stop motion animation. Armatures from the famous Aardman studios, known for their great animation productions such as Chicken Run, Wallace and Gromit and many others, will be used.
At the same time, participants will learn how to make a cheap armature with simple materials that are easy to find on the market.
