The teacher of this second grade classroom, Celeste, has been transferred to another school and has a few days to spend with the primary school students who started with her. Together they live the month of September, full of movement, changing in direction and of revelations, in the endearing intimacy of a classroom in a small town in Mexico.
Alana Simões
Alana Simões is a documentary film director. She graduated from the International School of Cinema and TV in Cuba (EICTV) with a specialization in documentary filmmaking and holds a master’s degree in philosophy from the 17, Institute of Critical Studies. She has benefited from FONCA and IMCINE programs multiple times. Alana has served as a jury member at the Havana International Film Festival, DocTV Latam, and DocsMx. She was on the board of directors of DOCMA (Madrid Documentary Film Association) and co-created the cultural event //3XDOC// Meeting of Creators, held annually in Madrid. Currently, she is part of the academic staff at the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO), where she works as the creative coordinator of MOIRA, Transit Narratives Lab.
