Marita Mayer
She is a German animation director based in Germany and Norway. She holds a background in Cultural Management and Education from the University of Hildesheim and later specialized in traditional animation at the Animation School Hamburg. Marita has worked on various 2D and stop-motion productions and served as program manager for five editions of the Fredrikstad Animation Festival in Norway. Her debut animated short film, I’m not afraid!, premiered at the Berlinale in 2022, screened at over 150 international festivals worldwide, and qualified for the Academy Awards.
