When Kaali discovers that his beloved sled dog is missing, he embarks on an intense search through the small town of Tasiilaq, East Greenland, suspecting that the dog has been stolen. Accompanied by his only friend, Kaali encounters a diverse group of townspeople and faces the challenges of being different in a close-knit community. On the run from a group of young bullies, Kaali eventually finds his dog and steals it back. Caught in the act, he flees with the dog, leaving his friend behind. Kaali soon learns that the actual thief is not who he had assumed, and he must act quickly to avoid losing his only friend.
Christoffer Rizvanovic Stenbakken
He is a screenwriter and director born and raised in Tasiilaq, East Greenland. Currently based in Copenhagen, he works as a freelance professional in film and television. As a filmmaker, he seeks to achieve a high level of authenticity in his characters and their environments through an investigative approach and a naturalistic style. He has a deep love for East Greenland and aims to tell fresh and surprising stories from a place that offers far more than its reputation suggests. In 2022 he also did the podcast series Tilbage til Tasiilaq or national broadcaster DR, on returning to the town of his childhood together with his friend Carl Taunajik Florian Sørensen.
