What Color Is Your Dream?

Workshop for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students, where with fairy tales and music from balafons, percussion, and other instruments, we magically travel to Black Africa and, in a playful way, experience its rhythms for a while. Using object-games made from discarded or natural materials inspired by Sub-Saharan Africa, telling African stories, performing live music with African instruments, and building and playing percussion instruments in different rhythms, the workshop unfolds through continuous dialogue and active participation from the students.
