Light box - Stories made of light and shadow

Instructor:

Stavroula Mastroyianni

A shoebox is transformed into a small portable shadow theatre. Each child builds his or her own little theatre and with the help of natural light presents a performance - a story made just for one spectator!

A hole on one side of the box allows the action to be observed on the screen of rice paper covering the opposite side. Flat figures and props made by the children, depending on the scenario - story of each one, lead to small improvisations.
