Bobby O’Brien is an energetic 11 year old boy who dreams of becoming a great detective like his TV hero Kojak. Bobbys’ home is inner-city Dublin in 1984 - a place where Bobby and his best pal Nell Casey torment their family and friends as they set up their own private investigation enterprise but when his older brother disappears Bobby and Nell have a real case and set out to find him. As Bobby starts to unravel the mystery of his missing brother, he comes to understand the strength within his family and community and the love of his friends…

Brian Durnin

He is an Irish director and screenwriter known for his work in both advertising and film. He began his career as a musician. Later, he turned to directing, helming over 200 television commercials for major international brands such as Guinness, Heinz, Vodafone, and McDonald’s. His work has been recognized with numerous national and international awards. In addition to advertising, Durnin has directed short films screened at international festivals such as Tribeca and Raindance, earning significant accolades. He is a member of the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland and collaborates with the production company Mallinson Television Productions (MTP). Spilt milk is his feature film directorial debut.
