The ocean is paradise for Fran the shrimp. Her deadly claws take whatever she desires. For the blind fish Milva, it’s a daily fight to survive. Fran sees her as beautiful and wants her to see the ocean in the same way. Can they overcome their differences?
Bára Anna
She is a director, writer, and artist focused on puppet animation. She studied at the Arts University Bournemouth and FAMU in Prague. Her short films Fishermen (2017)and Love Is Just a Death Away 2020) were both shortlisted for a BAFTA; the latter was also nominated for two Czech Lions, premiered at SXSW, and screened at over 90 international festivals. She was art director of the VR film Darkening (Venice Biennale, 2022) and co-created the Burning Man–honored installation HEARDT. In 2021, she co-founded the Prague-based animation studio Divize.
