Is there an unbeatable phrase for flirting? Is there a racket that never loses a match? In a world of losers can anybody be a winner?

Manos Papadakis

He was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. He studied Economics and Film in Thessaloniki, Málaga, and Athens. He has produced six short films, written the script for four of them, and directed two. All of his films have traveled to festivals around the world and have won various awards, including Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Actor, among others. He is a Sarajevo Talents alumnus, a fellow of the ARTWORKS program of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and has participated in several scriptwriting workshops with his projects, such as MFI Script2Film, Script & Pitch and Sources 2. In his work, he explores the nature of violence, loneliness as a consequence of avoiding violence, and parenthood either as a shelter of resilience against violence or, conversely, as its fuel. He lives and works in Athens with his partner, his 8-year-old son, and their two cats. He describes himself as happy.
