Two 11-year-old friends, Emma and Yasra, are dreaming about moving to Hollywood to become big stars. They are doing everything they can to make their dream come true; they study celebrity magazines, practice singing and dancing and raise money by selling coffee to neighbors. At the same time, the adults are busy with their own ambitions.
Tia Kouvo
She is a Finnish filmmaker, born in 1987 and now based in Gothenburg. Having started out with university studies in social psychology, she turned to filmmaking in 2011. Since then, she has developed her distinct, observational style with short films, among them award-winning "Family Time", "Chat with me" and "We Retired People". She was a participant of Torino Feature Lab and Nordic Film Lab in 2021. She is in post-production with her debut feature "Family Time", produced by Aamu Film Company whose latest film "Compartment no 6" scored the Grand Prix in Cannes.
