Olympia Festival is publishing the iconic for film education The Cinema Hypothesis by the French critic and film theorist Alain Bergala in Greek. Alain Bergala.In the book, the writer demonstrates with clarity and a deep knowledge the potentials and obstacles of bringing film to schools or other educational contexts, renouncing its use as a supplement, and viewing cinema as a special form of art that should be treated as such. At the same time, it is a passionate love declaration towards cinema, whose roots he traces back to his childhood, to his first memories with the big screen. Alain Bergala (president of this year’s Festival’s Jury) shares his knowledge and experience in a 45-minute masterclass.
The masterclass will be held in French and will have Greek and English interpretation.
