Children's juries up to 12 years old

The cinema analysis workshops of the Olympia Festival

The lights fade out, everyone quiets down and the screen lights up. People from all over the world take their seats in the movie theater. Some are chatting, some are looking for someone they know and others are flipping through the catalogue to get information about the film they are about to watch. The lights fade out, everyone quiets down and the screen lights up. The 27th Olympia Festival and the 24th Camera Zizanio comes back to life! For the past 27 years, since the very 1st edition of the Olympia Festival, some seats have been reserved in one corner of the hall. They are the seats where the members of the children jury committees sit!

Over the years, hundreds of children from the prefecture of Ilia have taken a seat there and this experience has been their portal to the interesting space of an international event and to the magical world of the art of cinema.

The members of the jury committees of the Olympia Festival have the opportunity to watch films from all over the world, to discuss with their peers and professionals of the film industry, but also to make a joint decision on the presentation of an award that is highly appreciated by all the creators, particularly because it comes from children!

There are many skills to be gained from participating in the jury committees. The children on the jury committees will learn the secrets of the 7th art, become familiar with the particularities of the cinematic language and learn to look at cinema in a different, more incisive way.

Choose the section of the Festival that interests you the most, sign up for the corresponding Judging Panel, and come meet us, watch films, and discuss them!
