Franco García Becerra
He was born in Cusco in 1977. He made his feature film debut with Southern Winds Southern Winds (2018), which premiered at the Lima Film Festival (Peru) and was also selected for the Dominican Global Film Festival, the Chicago Latino Film Festival, the Cine de las Américas Film Festival, among others. With his short film Indie, Indie he won the Peruvian Short Film Award in 2008. His next short film, Lima Lima (2011), received the Best Short Film and Best Screenplay Awards from the Ministry of Culture of Peru in 2011 and won Best Short Film at the Peruvian Film Festival in Paris in 2013.
